Lloyd Henry Jr

I was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa and attended junior college in Iowa and 3 years at Northeast MO State University (now Truman State), where I played football and pursed my degree with a goal of becoming an FBI agent.  After college I played professional football for 3 years.  Following my football career, I returned to Northeast MO and finished my degree and was hired by IBM in Columbia, which is where I have spent the rest of my career.  I married my college sweetheart Fontella shortly after and we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary in a couple of years.  Fontella is a retired Sergeant with the Columbia Police Department and I am a former reserve officer with the CPD.  We have 3 wonderful children and 3 grandchildren. 

I have been a State Farm agent since July of 1989.  It’s a privilege to be able to serve the Columbia and Boone County community with their insurance needs.  I enjoy giving back to my community through my involvement in the United Way, the Minority Men’s Network, the Prince Hall Masons, and the Cosmopolitan Club.  I am also active in my local church.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, tinkering with old cars, and traveling around the United States.
